How can we better protect our kids' eyes?

Understand blue light and avoid its dangers.

High-Energy Short-Wavelength Blue Light — The Primary Culprit in Eye Damage

International research on blue light has been ongoing for nearly 20 years. However, it was only in recent years, through joint studies by Heidelberg University and the German Ophthalmological Society, that short-wavelength blue light was identified as the primary culprit behind various ocular discomforts in modern humans.

The primary danger of blue light is the photchemical damage it can cause to the retina.

The pupil adjusts its size based on the intensity of external light to regulate the light entering the eye, thereby protecting the eye.

When light is strong, the pupil constricts; When light is weak, the pupil dilates.

Blue Light is quietly threatening your health

·Leading to eyesight fails

·Leading to eye dryness

·Leading to dull, lackluster skin

·Leading to macula

·Leading to tears

·Leading to cataract

·Macular degeneration can lead to vision loss and distortion. If it recurs, it may result in permanent visual impairment

What is blue light RG0

Blue light RG0 is the safety classification for blue light exposure developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in the IEC 62471 standard for photobiological safety of luminaires and luminaire systems. The IEC 62471 standard defines four risk categories:

·RG0 (exempt risk group): no risk, safest category

·RG1 (low risk): low risk for long-term exposure

·RG2 (medium risk): moderate risk; usually not a concern if the user instinctively avoids use

·RG3 (high risk): high risk of harm

The Homelist Forest Light Floor Lamp utilizes advanced LED technology, achieving a blue light risk level of RG0 (harmless). In contrast, traditional reading table lamps and floor lamps typically have a blue light risk level of RG1 (potentially hazardous).
